TEAM INFORMATION

RLS AZ Excel teams are formed or reformed before the start of each RSL AZ Recreational league season including the Fall, Winter, and Spring. If a team wants to stay together for the next season they can or if they just need a few more players we can add players if they’re available. Teams will not be added or altered to accommodate late registration requests.

In our U6-U8 RSL AZ Excel age groups when we have the enough numbers we form pools of players that train together and are split into teams for games. Below are the roster size player pool guidelines. We match the number of coaches per pool with the number of teams. This way we have enough coaches for trainings and games. Our pool training sessions vary from small or large group activities and playing 4v4 at practice. We generally keep the same players together for games but have the flexibility to move players from team to team when needed. We’ve been using this national recommended US Soccer model of pool training in both our competitive RSL AZ program and RSL AZ Excel program for years and have found it’s a great environment for overall player develop and building continuity at these very young ages.
