About RSL-AZ Yuma and what to expect:

Our club, RSL-AZ Yuma, is categorized based on birth year.  In our first season, 2018-2019,  we have Boys teams: 2016/15, 2014, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2007/2008, 2006, 2005. We have Girls teams: 2004, 2008/09, 2010, 2013/14, and 2015/16.  We are hopeful to expand our Girls' teams.

Our club hosts tryouts in May of each year. These tryouts create the teams we will host for the following season. There are players that come in later if they miss tryouts; it is handled on a case by case basis. In the summer time, players who are selected throughout the tryout process, are sent a link to register. The registration fee is $150.00 for our current year (this is a one time fee).  This could change slightly based on the number of players, fields, state fees, etc that could change yearly. The State could approve a slight hike in their fees (this is evaluated yearly). This could change our registration fee.  We are continually negotiating with the City of Yuma on field pricing. This may affect the next year's fee. Again, IF there is a change, it would be as minimal as possible. Then,  players are required to order uniforms.  Our uniforms are set up on a 2 year rotation.  The uniform cost various with size; Adult vs Child sizes.  An adult size uniform is approximately $255.00 and a child size uniform is approximately $235.00.  This cost is for the mandatory player's kit: home and away jersey, home and away shorts, home and away socks, warm up jersey, and backpack (all come with Club logo and jersey number printed).

Each age group is evaluated through the year by the Coach and the Director of Coaching.  This determines the leagues, tournaments and travel for the team. Each team is a bit different based on skill level and competition level.  This clearly affects the costs you will incur based on your team's participation in leagues/tournaments.  Any league, tournament or travel expense incurred is divided up by the number of players on the team for each event OR the team hosts fundraisers to offset the costs.  It is each teams' responsibility to raise funds for their activities.

Our coaches and administrative board are volunteers. The registration fee covers fields, lights, administrative function costs, insurance, equipment expenses, education, etc.
