Riley Brown, Outside Back, 03/04 Utah Royals FC AZ ECNL
High School: Valley Christian High School (Tucson)
Class: 2022
Commitment: University of Washington

Finding a school that checks all the boxes can be hard to find but, for Riley Brown, the choice was clear in the University of Washington. 

"I choose to commit to the University of Washington due to the coaching staff, campus location, diversity, and Pac-12 Conference." 

The Pac-12 is one of the strongest conferences in the country with five NCAA DI titles won since 2011. The conference has also sent a minimum of five teams to the NCAA DI tournament in each of the past six seasons with the University of Washington recently making appearances in 2019 and 2020.

"I'm looking forward to playing a competitive level of soccer with and against great players." 

As Riley gears up for what will be a competitive campaign in Fall 2022 she credits RSL AZ with helping her prepare for this challenge. 

"RSL AZ has provided me with coaches who have developed me as an individual and as a player on the field. They have pushed me to be a better player every day. I will cherish my long-lasting relationships I have made on Utah Royals FC-AZ."

Morgan Caslin, Forward, 03/04 Utah Utah Royals FC AZ ECNL
High School: Flagstaff High School
Class: 2022
Commitment: Northern Arizona University 

Morgan Caslin doesn't have to travel too far when she takes her game to the college DI level as Northern Arizona University is right in her backyard. 

"I committed to NAU because I love the location. Flagstaff is my home and I wanted to stay close to home. I love the coaching staff and they are very welcoming and I know that they will push me to be my best. I know that I will grow as a person and a player in the NAU soccer environment."

Driving down from Flagstaff to compete with the Utah Royals has been a major commitment, however, Morgan credits it with helping her prepare. 

"RSL AZ has been the best place to grow. The coaches are always there if I need anything. Each training I learn and grow."

Morgan did offer advice for the younger players who wish to play college soccer one day saying, "work hard and show your personality. Always stay positive even when it feels hard."

Jaelyn Pallas, Midfielder/Defender, 03/04 Utah Utah Royals FC AZ ECNL
High School: Perry High School (Gilbert)
Class: 2022
Commitment: Indiana University - Bloomington 

Finding the right balance between athletics and academics at the collegiate level can always be a tricky find but for Jaelyn Pallas she was able to find a program that offered everything she was looking for.

"I committed to Indiana University for the competition, my academic major, coach, and campus."

While Jaelyn is looking forward to moving to a new state she reflected on some of her favorite memories of playing in Arizona saying, "friendships I have built and team travel trips."

Jaelyn offered some sound advice for players wanting to play at the college levels.

"Find a school that you love regardless of the level and make sure you have a list of non-negotiable traits. If you weren't playing soccer would you still love the school? Don't get caught up in level of play or conference to sacrifice what makes you happy. Find a school that has what you love and fits what you are looking for. Make sure you are realistic about the level you can play at and surround yourself with people who will be honest with you and help you find a place that's good for you. Make sure you prioritize things that are important. And at the end of the day, you have to love it."
