Jose Rios Garcia, RSL AZ North 03 Boys Hack, is this week's Chapman Automotive Group RSL AZ Student-Athlete of the Week.

Jose, a senior at Coronado High School, was awarded the Charro Foundation Scholarship award for representing sportsmanship, respect, character, academics, community service, athletics, and future plans. On the field, Jose was chosen as the team captain by his teammates and was All-District and All-Region both his junior and senior years. He has helped the 03 Boys Hack to two tournament wins this year.

"Jose has been a student-athlete since his freshman year and he continues to help his teammates off the field by tutoring and mentoring them at school," said Kenny Hack, RSL AZ 03 Boys Hack Head Coach. "As a club player for the RSL 03' Boys Hack team he shows up to every practice and game and has been the backbone for the team as their goalkeeper. Great job Jose on all of your accolades, you're a true student-athlete and lead by example. We're proud to have you here at RSL."

Each week throughout the academic year, RSL AZ will honor a Student-Athlete of the Week who has excelled in the classroom, extracurricular activities, and on the field. In May, all Student-Athlete of the Week winners will be in consideration for the Student-Athlete of the Year award. The Student-Athlete of the Year winner will receive a $500 scholarship that can be used for either soccer or college.
