PHOENIX (Wednesday, February 21, 2024) -- Cole Johnson has signed with the Columbus Crew 2, becoming the fourth RSL AZ boys player to sign a professional contract since 2021. 

Johnson joins fellow RSL AZ professionals: Julio Benitez (2021), Luis Rivera (2023) and Izzy Amparo (2023).

Johnson recently completed his collegiate career at SMU where he appeared in 52 matches. In 2023, he was named the American Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year.

At RSL AZ, Johnson was recognized with ECNL All-Conference honors in 2018 and 2019. In 2020, he was selected to take part in a U.S. Youth Soccer ODP National Training Camp.
