RSL AZ is proud to be the only club in Arizona with a direct pathway to Major League Soccer.
Here are some of the RSL AZ accomplishments:
- Meet RSL AZ MLS Next Director Tom Durkin, who brings more than four decades of coaching expertise to RSL AZ across academy and collegiate levels, along with notable stints in Major League Soccer, National Women's Soccer League, and the U.S. Men's U17 National Team.
- Nine RSL AZ players were invited to participate in a U.S. Youth National Team ID Center in November 2024.
- Watch former RSL AZ MLS Next players talk about participating in the 2024 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament: Noah Ervin (DI- SMU), Aran Garza (DII - CSU Pueblo), Alex Sondergaard (DIII - Claremont-Mudd-Scripps).
- Every year, players from Arizona are identified and invited to join the Real Salt Lake Academy in Utah. One of our former players, Dominic Berrios gave a tour of the facility this past August. Watch Part #1 - Watch Part #2.
- Real Salt Lake Academy coach Jordan Allen talks about the connections between RSL AZ and the Real Salt Lake Academy in Utah at the 2024 MLS Next Playoffs
- Real Salt Lake Team Scout, Matt Hayes, talks about watching the talent in Arizona at one our our mini-jamboree events from this past summer.
- Four former RSL AZ players have signed professional contracts Julio Benitez with Real Salt Lake in January 2022, Luis Rivera with Real Salt Lake in January 2023, Izzy Amparo with Real Monarchs in January 2024 and Cole Johnson with Columbus Crew 2 in February 2024.
