Attacking - Play Between Lines & Through Gaps

Who: Mainly CMs and Fwds who are receiving passes from defenders or deeper MFs.

What: Coordinated movements off the ball to look and connect with a teammate that is situated between opponent's defensive lines.

Where: In Zone 2 and 3 but more specifically between the opponent's midfield and defensive lines.

When: In moments of possession and opposition is organized in their defensive block.

Why: To successfully break lines(opponent's Fwd & MF lines) so that we then have highest chance to break the opponent's backline successfully. The closer we are in possession to the opponent's backline the higher our chances to successfully break it.
