STAFF BIO:
Nicholas Markette has been involved in soccer as a coach for nearly three decades. He has coached boys and girls from 4 year-olds to 18 year-olds in club, ODP, high school, and professional men. He has served on club and national association boards and co-founded a club. He has assisted hundreds of players helping them reach the collegiate ranks with some playing professionally. Dr. Markette founded the first public high school soccer academy in the nation and is a past recipient of Arizona high school coach of the year honors. Dr. Markette’s teams have been in in many club and high school semi-finals, finals, including one US Club Soccer National Championship final. Dr. Markette coached ODP at Region IV camps and tournaments. Dr. Markette holds his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, KNVB Advanced, and earned/attended licenses, diplomas, and symposia across the country. He is a published researcher in the field of team structures and performance, and his doctoral research received the outstanding dissertation award by the Arizona Professors of Education Administration. Dr. Markette is a frequent lecturer covering topics like structures and conditions of team and organizational effectiveness.
