TOPSoccer is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with physical and/or mental disabilities. TOPSoccer furthers US Youth Soccer’s mission of fostering physical, mental, and emotional growth through the sport of soccer at all levels. TOPSoccer athletes will be paired with volunteer RSL-AZ athletes, who will work with their TOPSoccer buddies to create a meaningful experience for all players focusing on abilities, not disabilities. RSL-AZ athletes will help TOPSoccer athletes achieve their individual goals and further enhance their love of the game.

The basis of TOPSoccer is a modified version of the game of soccer, specifically altered to allow full participation and enjoyment for each athlete.

What are the program’s benefits?

Who is eligible for TOPSoccer?
Any player aged 5 and older having a physical and/or intellectual disability that limits their ability to perform at the level of play they have chosen to participate. The emphasis of this program is on development, training, and providing meaningful participation rather than on competition.

How is TOPSoccer similar to typical soccer programs?

If you are 18+ years old and interested in volunteering, you will need to go through SafeSport and fill out a volunteer form. Once completed, you are able to volunteer for our sessions.
