registration AND TRAINING FEES 24/25 Season

Registration fee:  $400 
Training Fee:         $2300

Club and Registration fees cover items such as training, insurance, fields, lights, additional equipment, goalkeeper training, and coaching fees.

Please note this fee is for training only.  Other costs to consider include travel, strength/performance training, team expenses, uniform, tournaments, and league fees.  Refer to the Overview section for estimated costs when considering the EA program)

*Performance training fees will be added into your payment plan. ($170-$250 yearly)

UNIFORM COSTS – approximate cost range $460-$550  (payment plans available at checkout)

This 2024/25 season is our 1st year of a TWO year uniform cycle.

Our uniform supplier is Soccer.com.

All players will need to purchase both uniforms, training gear, bag and warmup top.

TEAM FEES - $Varies
In addition to the club registration, club training fees, and uniform costs, there are team operational expenses for such items as tournament registrations, EA team registration, referee fees, team overhead, extra field rentals, coach travel expenses, mics. travel expenses, fundraising expenses, etc.

These expenses vary by team and the schedule each coach sets for their team.  Based on the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons, here are the Team Fee ranges by age group.

These costs do not include team league or team tournament travel and lodging expenses. Additionally, “special” player invitation tournaments, showcases, and MLS Next events as well as postseason events are all additional travel costs to specific player families.  (See fundraising to help offset team fees)

TRAVEL FEES - $Varies
Travel fees are broken up into two categories, Team Travel and Family Travel.  Team Travel is exactly that, the team travels as one group either by bus, vans, air, or with chaperone drivers. Team Travel costs are collected upfront from each family on a per-player basis.  With Team Travel the boys stay with their team for the entire weekend in shared rooms.  They do not go off with parents for meals or other entertainment.  For Family Travel, players travel with their own family or they make arrangements for their player to travel with another family and all travel costs are taken care of by the families.

The RSL AZ Family Travel model follows each tournaments rules with regards to required team blocks and when required, families MUST stay at the “Team” designated hotel (“Stay and Play”) unless given special permission to stay elsewhere by the Team Manager/Treasure/Coach.  For non “Stay and Play” requirements, often, coaches prefer families stay at the same hotel as it is easier to have team meetings and team bonding which ultimately affects player/team performances. The families will have family time for some meals and possibly other activities, but the Coach may request Team meals or outings.

Team Travel (number of trips is determined by EA league games schedule and coach’s tournament/showcase schedule.  Mode of transportation is determined by coach)

*These trips include all destination transportation (bus, van or plane), ground transportation, lodging, meals & snacks

Travel Considerations
RSL AZ EA Travel is designed to be as cost-effective as possible for the teams as a whole. While some families may like to travel with their players and can afford to do so, it is most often not economical for the majority of players considering the number of out of town trips players attend.  RSL AZ believes it is best for teams to have all of their skilled players in attendance at games both in and out of town whenever possible thus, have opted for Bus Travel for most out of town league games. Players will meet at designated spots around town where they will be picked up and dropped off before and after trips.  These pick-up and drop-off locations may vary depending on several criteria when choosing locations and will be assessed based on each trip and the date and time of departure.  Locations that avoid traffic congestion are the priority when assigning bus stops and then proximity to players in the EA program.

Family Travel costs will vary depending on how many out of town tournaments or events each player participates in during the season and how many members of a family travels.  It is up to each family to arrange and pay for their own player or family travel plans. (For a 3 night / 4 day trip - based on one average hotel room, driving your own car, meals for one parent/one child, each family travel trip is estimated to cost between $800 - $1,000 per trip).  

 

FUNDRAISING
Teams are encouraged to participate in fundraising activities to raise most of this money. EA teams work diligently to fundraise during Summer and throughout the season in several ways.  We have a Gold Shirt Sponsorship program that is Club wide as well as each team is involved with individual team fundraisers and then EA wide fundraisers.  At NO time can Fundraising money be earmarked for any one individual so ALL players have to participate in team fundraisers in some way. The more fundraising the more team fees go down.

financial aid / scholarship

Real Salt Lake AZ offers some “Financial Aid” for Training Fees only, to assist economically disadvantaged families." To qualify for Financial Aid for Training Fees, families must meet criteria established by RSL AZ and submit all completed, required documents by the June 1, 2022 deadline. Eligibility for financial aid will be reviewed for possible approval by RSL AZ’s Financial Aid Committee.  For more  information, click link below.  (Other fees such as team fees and travel are not covered with our club's financial aid.)
