The February Earnhardt Auto Centers No Bull Student-Athlete of the Month male and Female winners have been announced. Nominations for the February No Bull Student Athlete Male and Female is now open - only RSL AZ coaches can nominate.

Congratulations goes out to Ivan Rubio (RSL AZ North 04 Boys Nogales Rivas) and Katherine Finical (RSL AZ North 06 Girls Hansen) who are the February Earnhardt Auto Center No Bull Student-Athlete of the Month Male and Female winners.

Ivan attends Nogales High School where he is the class valedictorian with a 4.820 GPA. At his school, he is a member of numerous clubs including the National Honor Society, Academic Decathlon, Jazz Ensemble, and Future Business Leaders of America. On the field, Ivan plays left back, attends every practice, and is always motivating his team.

"Ivan's hard work and dedication is shown on and off the field, as he manages his time with school work, extracurriculars, sports, and more: said Christian Rivas, RSL AZ North 04 Boys Nogales head coach. "His goal is to attend a prestigious university next fall, and he has already been accepted to Notre Dame, University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Fordham University, and the University of California in Santa Barbara."

Katherine is a junior at Horizon High School where she maintains a 4.656 GPA while being in the National Honor Society, Society of Women Scholars, Spanish Honorary Club, and Show Choir. She has been part of the Spanish Immersion Program since the 1st grade and will be completing her bilingual certification in April. Katherine currently has two dual enrollment courses earning six college credits and has accumulated 22 dual enrollment college credits. She is expected to graduate high school with over 30 credits hours. On the field, she is the captain of her team and was able to get back on the pitch this fall after suffering a long injury setback. Now that she is back, she helps dictate play from her midfield position while having positive communication on the field with her teammates along with respecting the referee and opponents.

"Katherine is a great leader on and off the field and a great representation of RSL AZ," said Oyvind Hansen, RSL AZ North 06 Girls head coach.

Each month through April, RSL AZ will announce a male and female No Bull Student Athlete of the Month. In May, all monthly winners will be eligible to win a $1,000 scholarship and be named the male or female Student Athlete of the year. Only RSL AZ coaches can nominate a player.
